It's the beginning of Marvellous May, so it's time to recap over what I've been enjoying for the last month. April went by in a blur, just like every other month, so I didn't have a chance to really take it all in! However, here's a jolly good selection of what has been tickling my fancy - all, incidentally, very pretty in pastel colours!
Easter Egg Treats
April, of course, meant Easter treats, so I just had to include a mini selection of my chocolate haul in this post! I gave up chocolate for Lent this year and thanks to rising stress-levels I have to admit I did struggle. Nothing beats a chunk of chocolate (or a cheeky scoop of Nutella *ahem*) after a tough day at work. I've managed to control my chocolate consumption since Easter Sunday but I did get some delicious treats! These Ferrero eggs are (were....) really divine and I adore the eggs from Hotel Chocolat. The Extra Thick Egg (I hope that's not a subliminal message about my intelligence...) is probably going to be left until last! I have a few more treats too...and I also had a Ferrero bunny (which didn't last long).
Grey Fold Over Slouch Bag, River Island (£25)
For the last few months I've been using the only decent handbag I own - a burgundy number (naturally) which I got for Christmas. I thought it was about time I invested in a new smaller one, and finally caved in and bought this one from River Island. It was a bargain at £25 and it so simple, a great size, and has a detachable long strap too. I really love the colour and I think it's such a bargain! You can buy it online HERE. I'm going to be using this constantly.
Garnier Simple Essentials Soothing Cleansing Lotion & Toner
I admit, these have been a favourite of mine for a while. During my student budget years I always plumped for cheap but effective skincare and this cleanser and toner pair from Garnier were always my go-to product (when I wasn't using face wipes). They're simple (hence the name Simply Essentials!) but leave my skin feeling pampered and very clean; they're a reasonable price too, so I don't have to worry too much about using them up. A true staple on my skincare shelf recently.
Rimmel London 60 Second Varnish in 'Mary Mary Quite Contrary'
Recently I have fallen back in love with my pastel purple varnish from Rimmel London. It's in the shade 'Mary Mary Quite Contrary' and I received it back in November on my birthday. Pastel shades are really popular right now - you only have to look at Barry M - and I'm tempted to build on my collection! I get so many compliments when I'm wearing this, so it's definitely deserves a spot in this post.
What have you been loving over the last month?
